Since May, the Yannick, measuring 39 metres by 5,04 metres, is converted into a festival boat. Until the end of the month September, several bands will play on the stage on board during the events of Maes Cargo. At the end of June, the Yannick was baptised in Mechelen during the first event. The tour will end in Courtray at the end of September. After the Maes Cargo events, the Yannick will be dedicated to freight transport again.
S/V Rembrandt Van Rijn was built as a herring lugger early last century. The vessel was rebuilt as a threemast passenger sailing schooner in the Netherlands in 1994 and sailed in Spitsbergen (1994-1996) and in Galápagos (1998-2000). The vessel underwernt a complete rebuilding and refurbishment program until 2011.
